Nenci Silvia

Roma Tre University of Rome

Associate Professor of Economic policy at the Roma Tre University, Italy and member of the Manlio Rossi-Doria Centre for Economic and Social Research. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rome – Sapienza. She is member of the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme in Economics and Coordinator of the Development Economics Programme in the Master in Human Development and Food Security of the Roma Tre University. She is author and co-authors of several publications, included articles in international referred journals with impact factor. She has worked for several research institutes in Italy and abroad, as well as in national and international research projects on the subjects of international economics and trade policy. She has consulting experience with several national and international institutions including the Italian MoFA, the Italian Trade Agency, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Global Development Network (GDN), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Trade Centre of UN. Her research interests include: International Trade; Trade Policy; International Economic Policy; International Trade and Development; Global Value Chains.

The Italian Center for International Development (ICID)

The Italian Center for International Development (ICID), hosted by CEIS University of Rome Tor Vergata, is an entity that involves Centers and Departments of four Italy based public universities:

The Centre’s mission is to promote a better understanding of development challenges in an increasingly globalized world, through an inter-disciplinary approach.

ICID’s design and composition provide it with a unique capacity for state-of-the-art research addressing the many interconnected development issues facing today’s globalized world.
