Workshop: International Development

ICID organized a one-day workshop to present recent research on international development on June 28th, 2016 in Ravello (Amalfi Coast, Italy). The workshop, within the 20th ICABR Conference, brought together academics and development practitioners on issues related to international development. The workshop also aimed at identifying key information gaps relating to this theme, thereby helping to guide future research efforts.

The workshop, organized within the 20th ICABR Conference, was conceived as a thriving platform for students, practitioners, and academics to engage with one another and share innovative ideas on issues related to international development.
The workshop chose to explore three broad topics: vulnerability, social protection and labour market, the linkages between trade and wages, and violence and women’s empowerment
The workshop also aimed at identifying key information gaps relating to these themes, thereby helping to guide future research efforts.

The Italian Center for International Development (ICID), hosted by CEIS University of Rome Tor Vergata, is an entity that involves Centers and Departments of four Italy based public universities:
